How would you handle the collisions? These things are far from finished but i figured that they would be cool to play with, i have to make the clientside script for piloting them still among other things (to remove unwanted camera motion , strafing etc) I'm going to add support for passengers and guns too

The best way to detect collisions is: (both)
1. repeated LOS scans from key positions in the ship to key directions, to detect collision with terrain and bases.
2. repeated containerBoxFillSet calls to capture collision with objects like players and vehicles. A lame alternative would be to move along with the ship triggers so that entering them means collision, but they only detect players.


That is quite performance-heavy too.
You would also need to make your own projectile::onHit like I did if you want to ever damage these ships.

i've seen this done before, i remember doing it in modx and i think ice did this too,

although this is a way better job than what i have seen, gg!

they were breakdancing in the dropships, it was almost seizure inducing
